We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Fusion Energy Physicist at Tokamak Energy Ltd.
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing innovative diagnostic systems for our spherical tokamak, ST40. Your expertise in plasma physics, laser-based diagnostics, and experimental data analysis will be essential in advancing our research and development efforts.
Key Responsibilities- Design and develop advanced diagnostic systems for ST40, including the dispersion interferometer and Thomson scattering systems.
- Collaborate with our team to analyze experimental data and inform the development of new diagnostic systems.
- Contribute to the development of our laser safety training program and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Participate in the design and development of next-generation spherical tokamaks and fusion energy systems.
- Present research findings at scientific conferences and publish papers in leading scientific journals.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A PhD in physics or a related field.
- Experience in plasma physics, laser-based diagnostics, and experimental data analysis.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Matlab, or Fortran.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
