About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Fusion Energy Physicist at Tokamak Energy Ltd.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing innovative diagnostic systems for our spherical tokamak, ST40. Your expertise in plasma physics, laser-based diagnostics, and experimental data analysis will be essential in advancing our research and development efforts.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and develop advanced diagnostic systems for ST40, including the dispersion interferometer and Thomson scattering systems.
  2. Collaborate with our team to analyze experimental data and inform the development of new diagnostic systems.
  3. Contribute to the development of our laser safety training program and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
  4. Participate in the design and development of next-generation spherical tokamaks and fusion energy systems.
  5. Present research findings at scientific conferences and publish papers in leading scientific journals.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A PhD in physics or a related field.
  • Experience in plasma physics, laser-based diagnostics, and experimental data analysis.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Matlab, or Fortran.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
