About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our team at Tokamak Energy, a leading global commercial fusion energy company. As a Systems Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and operation of systems and technology that bring commercial fusion energy closer to realisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of physicists, engineers, and researchers to ensure the successful integration of design efforts across a diverse range of fields.
  • Contribute to the development of systems engineering practices at Tokamak Energy, taking a leading role in developing some aspects of our end-to-end digital engineering workflows.
  • Develop tailored requirements management plans to suit projects and coach other engineers in good requirements writing and management.
  • Work with multiple stakeholders to apply systems thinking to projects and lead the development of system architecture models to meet project requirements.
  • Guide efforts to ensure that all systems adhere to safety regulations and protocols to guarantee the safety of personnel and equipment.

Requirements

  • Degree level in engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in systems engineering, preferably in the energy or nuclear field.
  • Understand the characteristics of good quality requirements and traceability.
  • Familiar with systems engineering lifecycle processes and tailoring of processes to optimise project performance.
  • Knowledge of verification & validation planning activities.
