About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Agricultural Engineer to join our esteemed department as a Lecturer in Agricultural Engineering.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and research in agricultural engineering, with a focus on sustainable practices and cutting-edge technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging lectures, workshops, and practical demonstrations to inspire and educate students in agricultural engineering.
  • Lead and support research initiatives focused on sustainable agriculture, precision farming, and renewable energy systems.
  • Design and implement practical training programs that equip students with hands-on experience in agricultural engineering techniques.
  • Mentor and guide students in their academic and professional development, fostering their talents and empowering them to become leaders in the agricultural engineering field.
  • Collaborate with industry partners and colleagues to enhance curriculum development, share knowledge, and stay at the forefront of advancements in agricultural engineering.

Requirements:

  • A level 3 qualification in Agricultural or Landbased Engineering.
  • Proven industry experience in agricultural engineering, with expertise in precision farming, sustainable agriculture, automation, or related areas.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students.
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools and technology used in agricultural engineering.
  • A passion for research, innovation, and staying updated with emerging trends in the field.
  • Strong organizational and leadership abilities, with a commitment to fostering student success.
