Agricultural Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Agricultural Engineer to join our team at Dovetail and Slate. As a Lecturer in Agricultural Engineering, you will have the opportunity to inspire and educate the next generation of agricultural engineers.

About the Role:

  • Inspire and Educate: Develop and deliver engaging lectures, practical demonstrations, and hands-on workshops that foster innovation and problem-solving skills in agricultural engineering.
  • Foster Research and Development: Lead and support cutting-edge research initiatives focused on sustainable agricultural practices, precision farming technologies, and renewable energy systems.
  • Cultivate Practical Skills: Design and implement practical training programs that equip students with hands-on experience in agricultural engineering techniques.
  • Mentor Future Leaders: Provide guidance and mentorship to students, nurturing their talents and empowering them to become leaders in the agricultural engineering field.
  • Collaborate and Network: Engage in collaborative projects with colleagues, industry experts, and local farmers to enhance curriculum development, share knowledge, and stay at the forefront of advancements in agricultural engineering.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • A level 3 qualification in Agricultural or Land-Based Engineering.
  • Proven industry experience in agricultural engineering, with expertise in precision farming, sustainable agriculture, automation, or related areas.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students.
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools and technology used in agricultural engineering.
  • A passion for research, innovation, and staying updated with emerging trends in the field.
  • Strong organizational and leadership abilities, with a commitment to fostering student success.
