We are currently recruiting for a Credit Controller to join a well-established finance department on a permanent basis. As a Credit Controller, you will be responsible for managing the company's credit operations, ensuring timely payment from customers, and maintaining accurate records.
Key Responsibilities- Collect and manage customer payments, including debt collection and credit limit management
- Verify customer creditworthiness and update account details as necessary
- Administer daily outstanding debtors list and generate reports for management
- Process banking and BACS payments, and raise credit notes for approval
- Log invoices onto the working debtors spreadsheet and enter sales invoices onto the bespoke system
- Administer relevant credits and corrections, and file remittances and invoices
- Process card payments and maintain accurate records
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Experience in accounting and finance, preferably in a credit control or debt collection environment
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
