Job Title: Legal Counsel

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced UK Qualified Solicitor to join our Legal & Compliance Team as a Legal Counsel. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing dedicated legal support to the Estates project, managing the legal completion of Code Agreement / Lease / License / Freehold Acquisition transactions, and delivering renewals through the end-to-end process.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial property conveyancing, with experience in landlord and tenant matters, particularly relating to the Electronic Communications Code. They will also have good commercial awareness, the ability to deliver clear advice, and excellent communication skills. The role will report directly into the Senior Property Counsel and will be aligned with the leads of the Estates team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Estates project by managing the legal completion of Code Agreement / Lease / License / Freehold Acquisition transactions.
  • Deliver renewals through the end-to-end process, from legal instruction to legal completion, in line with monthly forecasts and agreed deadlines.
  • Provide dedicated legal support to the Estates team, including managing legal supplier management and financial control.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement changes to enhance the legal process.
Requirements:
  • UK Qualified solicitor with experience in commercial property conveyancing from a well-regarded city / regional firm.
  • 2-3+ years PQ experience in commercial conveyancing transactions, particularly relating to landlord and tenant matters.
  • Experience of working with the Electronic Communications Code.
  • An understanding of property litigation.
  • Good commercial awareness with ability to deliver clear advice.
  • Ability to communicate effectively using a variety of formats with colleagues and others outside the business.
