Support Students with Complex Needs and Thrive in a Specialized Environment

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and patient individual to work as a Complex Needs Teaching Assistant in a specialist school. This role is perfect for those who are passionate about supporting children and young people with complex learning and physical disabilities.

As a Complex Needs Teaching Assistant, you will provide tailored 1:1 and small group support for students. You will assist in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and work closely with teachers, therapists, and specialists to deliver a holistic approach to learning. Your responsibilities will also include encouraging independence and promoting positive behavior, as well as creating a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children or adults with complex needs (desired but not essential)
  • A caring, patient, and proactive attitude
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A DBS check on the update service or willingness to obtain one
