Job Title: Quantity Surveyor

Chubb Fire & Security Limited is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Blackburn. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of a portfolio of design and build projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administration of Main Contracts, including Project Control information, Change Management, and Cash collection
  • Administration of Subcontract Agreements, ensuring best practices are adopted and implemented throughout the project life span
  • Providing advisory services regarding standard forms of agreement, including JCT, NEC, and ICE
Project Accounting:
  • Periodic Cost Value Reconciliation(s)
  • Periodic Cash Flow Forecasting and monitoring
  • Monitoring of budget against expenditure and reporting on variances
  • Valuing Change
Project Management:
  • Working with the Project Manager to identify early warnings within the Subcontract environment
  • Assisting in the administration of Instructions and the like
  • Assisting with preparation of accurate project control information to evaluate progress against the agreed construction programme(s)
  • Management of all administration of subcontracts
Requirements:
  • Experience of JCT standard suite of Contracts essential
  • Experience of NEC 3 and 4 suites of Contracts essential
  • Extensive experience as a site Senior QS with a main contractor or similar organisation
  • Must demonstrate successful financial delivery in a challenging contracting environment
  • Ensure adherence to all Company Policies and Procedures
  • Be fully conversant and compliant with all Environmental Health and Safety procedures
