Clinical Nurse Educator

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Clinical Nurse Educator in the Critical Care Unit.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a hardworking and committed individual to provide high-quality care and education on our busy 30-bedded Critical Care Unit. The successful candidate will have extensive Critical Care experience and a passion for education.
Key Responsibilities- Support colleagues to develop the clinical skills required to care for critically ill patients.
- Work closely with the Education SCN Lead to deliver Critical Care teaching on an individualized and group basis.
- Identify the unit's educational needs while on shift and facilitate this dynamic demand.
- Roll out new policies, procedures, and introduce new equipment with associated training.
The ideal candidate will be a Registered Nurse with extensive Critical Care experience and an interest in education. They will have a friendly, approachable manner and the ability to adapt to ever-changing challenges.

Working HoursThe shift pattern for this position is Monday – Friday, (2x 8:00-17:30 and 2x 8:00-18:00). However, as part of our commitment to reducing working hours, we are introducing a 37-hour working week from 1 April 2024, with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part-time staff.
