Clinical Nurse Educator

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Clinical Nurse Educator in the Critical Care Unit. This is an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality care and education to patients and staff.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will have extensive Critical Care experience and a passion for education. They will be responsible for supporting the learning and development of the Critical Care team, identifying educational needs, and facilitating dynamic demand. The role will be split between education and clinical time, with opportunities to roll out new policies, procedures, and introduce new equipment with associated training.
Key Responsibilities- Support colleagues to develop the clinical skills required to care for critically ill patients.
- Work closely with the Education SCN Lead to deliver Critical Care teaching on an individualized and group basis.
- Identify the unit's educational needs while on shift and facilitate this dynamic demand.
- Other opportunities will include rolling out new policies, procedures, and introducing new equipment with associated training.
The ideal candidate will be a Registered Nurse with extensive Critical Care experience, an interest in education, and a friendly, approachable manner. They will be expected to have a passion for education and describe innovative ideas to motivate the Critical Care education agenda.

Please note that this role is subject to the new working hours, with a reduction in full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024, with no change in pay. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37-hour working week immediately, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid.
