Exciting Opportunity at University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Trust

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paediatrician to join our team at Royal Lancaster Infirmary. As a key member of our paediatric department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our young patients and their families.

Main Responsibilities

As a Paediatrician, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing expert medical care to children and young people with acute and non-acute conditions
  • Leading a team of healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care
  • Participating in clinical audit and quality improvement initiatives
  • Supervising and mentoring junior doctors and other healthcare staff
  • Contributing to the development of medical education and training programs
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Full GMC registration with a licence to practice and entry on the Specialist Register or in receipt of CCT within six months of interview
  • Membership of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (or equivalent)
  • Completed Specialist Training (or equivalent) in Paediatrics
  • Proven experience in clinical audit and quality improvement
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
