We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paediatrician to join our team as a Community Paediatric Consultant. As a key member of our Children and Young People's Services, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to children and young people with complex needs.
Key Responsibilities- Provide specialist community paediatric care to children and young people with complex needs, including those with neurodisability, autism, and other special educational needs.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including therapists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to provide comprehensive care.
- Develop and implement individualised care plans, taking into account the unique needs and circumstances of each child and family.
- Conduct regular reviews and assessments to monitor progress and adjust care plans as needed.
- Provide education and training to other healthcare professionals, including junior doctors and nurses, to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality care.
- Full valid registration with the General Medical Council.
- Membership of the Royal College of Paediatrics & Child Health (or equivalent) or Diploma in Child Health.
- Ability to work at Consultant level in Community Child Health.
- Proven experience in clinical audit and quality improvement.
- Level 2 Child Protection Training.
- Experience of working in a multidisciplinary team and providing clinical supervision to junior staff.
- CCT or equivalent in subspeciality of Community Child Health.
- Previous participation in a management role.
- Evidence of completion of full audit cycle and implementation of changes to practice.
- Demonstrated ability to take on a leadership role and provide clinical supervision to junior staff.
