The Role

To support the running of the new factory by resolving breakdowns, delivering maintenance, and driving improvements across the site and site services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out all maintenance across site services and site facilities.
  • Attend to breakdowns onsite to reduce downtime of site plant and machinery.
  • Carry out repairs to plant and equipment during production.
  • Carry out PPM onsite.
  • Carry out daily checks on all site services.
  • Core facility and utilities services such as steam boilers and associated pipework, air compressors, water treatment system, CIP room checks, effluent plant, ammonia plant room, and other refrigeration systems.
  • Deliver on plant uptime and maintenance KPIs through planned, preventative, and predictive maintenance.
  • Maintain tools and equipment.
  • Ensure all chemical and bacterial checks/tests of cooling tower water are taking place as per internal schedule.

You

  • Minimum of 3 years engineering experience.
  • Multi-skilled with formal engineering qualification to NVQ Level 3 or higher, in an electrical and/or mechanical subject, and/or nationally recognized apprenticeship in an engineering discipline.
  • 17th or 18th Edition Certification.
  • Proven experience of working within the food industry.
  • Steam utilization and boiler house training certification.
  • Health and Safety/Basic Food Hygiene trained.
  • Experience in managing contractors on-site.
  • Proactive approach to fault finding and commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Computer literate and working knowledge of MS Office and a PPM system.
  • Ability to understand electrical and mechanical drawings/manuals.
