Software Engineering Manager - Thales

Thales, a global technology company, delivers innovative solutions for defence, aerospace, ground transportation, security, and space industries. We are seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead our software development process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and tailor the software development process to meet business objectives.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to create realistic project plans and ensure adherence to budget constraints.
  • Provide line management to software engineers and represent the company in customer-facing meetings.
  • Lead the estimating process for software projects and support Agile Scrum teams in maintaining focus on milestones.
  • Identify and mitigate risks within work packages and provide coaching and support to junior engineers.

Requirements:

  • Strong experience in leading software projects and proficient in Agile development methodologies.
  • Knowledge of Jira and IBM DOORS, with experience in developing software systems for cybersecurity and safety.
  • Proficiency in C++ and C languages, with a UK Secret clearance.
