Engineering Software Lead - Thales UK

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and customize the software development lifecycle
  • Work closely with engineering teams to establish feasible release schedules
  • Ensure compliance with software development protocols and financial limitations
  • Manage and mentor software engineering personnel
  • Act as the company representative in client-facing discussions
  • Facilitate the estimation process for software initiatives
  • Support Agile Scrum teams while maintaining focus on key milestones
  • Identify and address potential risks within project scopes
  • Provide guidance and assistance to junior engineering staff

Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in leading software initiatives
  • Expertise in Agile development practices
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira and IBM DOORS
  • Background in developing software solutions for cybersecurity and safety applications
  • Strong command of C++ and C programming languages
  • Possession of UK Secret clearance is mandatory
