About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Caretaker to join our team at a vibrant primary school in East London. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and welcoming school environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Site Management: Opening and closing the site, setting the alarm, and conducting weekly fire alarm checks.
  • Maintenance and Repairs: Performing general repairs and maintenance tasks, including unblocking sinks and toilets, fixing door and window handles, and carrying out painting and decorating tasks.
  • Health and Safety: Conducting daily health and safety checks to ensure a secure environment for students and staff.
  • Porterage Services: Providing porterage services, moving furniture, and delivering parcels around the building.
  • Grounds Maintenance: Maintaining the school grounds and performing all other duties as required.
Requirements
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience in a caretaker or maintenance role is preferred.
  • Physical Abilities: Ability to perform physical tasks and handle various handyperson duties.
