We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic scientist to join our Protein Sciences group at our research facility in Cambridge, UK. As a Biophysical Scientist, you will play a key role in drug discovery projects, applying biophysics in small-molecule drug discovery from hit ID to clinical candidate.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver quantitative biophysical analysis on protein-ligand binding using surface plasmon resonance (SPR) to inform chemical design and mechanistic understanding.
- Generate high-fidelity and reproducible data and insights into the molecular mechanism of lead compounds and drug candidates.
- Identify and drive improvements and innovations in SPR-related techniques to expand the scope of biophysical approaches.
- Collaborate with various scientists on research projects that advance membrane protein targets through our structure-based drug design pipeline.
- Prepare and present results to project teams.
- Masters Degree and/or PhD in Biochemistry/Biophysics or a related discipline with proven SPR experience in a drug discovery environment.
