About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Practitioner to join our team in Glasgow and East Dunbartonshire. As a Support Practitioner, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with disabilities and/or additional support needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support individuals with daily living tasks, such as shopping, finances, cooking, medication, household tasks, and personal care.
  • Encourage and participate in activities that promote independence, such as arts & crafts, gardening, going to the cinema, meals out, swimming, discos, and going for walks.
  • Hold a full UK driving license with a minimum of 1 year experience on the road, as some individuals may require transportation.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to ensure the best possible outcomes for the individuals we support.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with the individuals, their families, and other stakeholders.
Requirements
  • A caring and compassionate attitude and approach.
  • The ability to work well in a team.
  • Good communication and organisational skills.
  • A positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
  • An understanding of the importance of routines and guidelines.
  • Confidence to go in the water, as swimming is a regular activity.
  • Confidence in the use of computers.
  • A full UK driving license.
Shift Patterns

Shift patterns may include early mornings, days, evenings, rotational weekends, and public holidays. Sleepovers and/or waking nights may also form part of your rota on a rotational basis.
