Vacancy: Tool Setter (Injection Moulding)

Salary: Up to £33,500

A prestigious manufacturing firm is seeking a dedicated individual to uphold the highest standards in service delivery to their production line. As a Tool Setter, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of production processes, focusing on machine uptime and maintaining impeccable quality standards.

The successful candidate will be entrusted with the responsibility of setting tools in presses and initiating their start-up, aligning with stringent production requirements. This includes the safe operation of Injection Moulding Presses, including their start-up and shutdown.

Key aspects of this role include the preparation of tools and equipment for tool changes, proficient use of cranes for slinging and lifting tools, and presenting the first-off part to the Quality Department. You will also be responsible for setting up robot heads and loading programmes, and will be the first point of contact for reporting faults to the tool-room or maintenance teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set tools in presses and initiate their start-up
  • Operate Injection Moulding Presses safely and efficiently
  • Prepare tools and equipment for tool changes
  • Use cranes for slinging and lifting tools
  • Present the first-off part to the Quality Department
  • Set up robot heads and loading programmes
  • Report faults to the tool-room or maintenance teams
