At the heart of Scotland's transportation network, Tactran is a statutory Regional Transport Partnership with a duty to create a Regional Transport Strategy and oversee its delivery. As a key player in Community Planning and Development Planning, the Partnership has a crucial role in supporting the development and implementation of City Deals.
The recent adoption of the third Tayside and Central Scotland Regional Transport Strategy has shifted the focus to delivering the strategy's aspirations. We are seeking a highly motivated professional to contribute to this effort.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development, implementation, and monitoring of the Regional Transport Strategy and related delivery programs.
- Advance Strategic Connectivity, Bus, Rail, Mobility Hubs, Freight, and Low Carbon Vehicle elements of the Strategy.
- Contribute to key stakeholder and partner liaison.
- Assist in the appraisal, procurement, and delivery of proposals and projects.
Requirements:
- Education to degree level in a transportation or relevant discipline.
- Familiarity with transport and wider policy issues within an RTP or local authority environment.
- Knowledge and/or experience of transportation appraisal and modeling techniques.
- Knowledge of transport and other relevant legislation and related operational practices and procedures.
Tactran's office is based in Perth, and officers work on a hybrid basis. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development and delivery of a Regional Transport Strategy and support the growth of Scotland's transportation network.
