Nursery Leadership Professional

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Nursery Leader to join our team at St. George's Nursery in Nottingham – Sherwood. This is a full-time opportunity that offers a competitive salary of up to £25,000 per year, paid on an hourly rate of £11.85.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for providing support and direction to the unit team, working closely with the deputy/ manager to oversee the smooth running of the nursery. They will ensure high-quality care is practiced at all times, promoting a positive and engaging environment for children and staff alike.
This leadership role requires a trained and qualified childcare professional who specialises in leadership and management. As a key member of our team, you will assist the Management team in providing professional leadership and management of the nursery, helping to ensure all children receive the highest standards of care and education.
Key Responsibilities- Liaise with parents, carers, and other family members to build strong relationships and keep them informed about their child's progress.
- Support and motivate all staff, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
- Lead a small team in your room to deliver exceptional childcare services, supported by the nursery management team.
- Maintain good practice in your room, ensuring compliance with the EYFS guidelines.
- Keep accurate records of children's progress, routines, and interests.
- Level 3 or above (or equivalent) qualification in childcare or a related field.
- A good understanding of the EYFS and ability to maintain children's development records.
- Enhanced DBS check and references required.
- At least 3 years of childcare experience; management experience is preferred but not essential.
