Cyber Underwriting Leadership Opportunity

At Disability Solutions, we are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our Cyber Underwriting team in the UK. As the Regional Head of Cyber Underwriting and Risk Management, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive underwriting strategies tailored to our regional needs. This includes managing a team of underwriters, collaborating with internal stakeholders, and underwriting large new and renewal accounts to meet top and bottom line targets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute the UK strategy for the Cyber, Tech and Media portfolio within the framework of the global Cyber strategy
  • Develop targeting strategy for new opportunities in Cyber, Tech and Media
  • Manage a team of underwriters
  • Collaborate with relevant internal stakeholders to enable delivery of underwriting targets
  • Underwrite large new and renewal accounts to meet top and bottom line targets
  • Negotiate participation, pricing and terms and conditions with brokers
  • Proactively support acquisition of new business and retention of existing business


Requirements:
  • Significant experience underwriting profitable business in the Cyber segment of large corporate international insurance
  • Ideally CII qualified or equivalent or working towards it
  • Recognised relationships with clients and brokers at peer group level and well established within the UK Cyber market
  • Specialised understanding of regional/national Cyber insurance markets and the competitor landscape
  • Ability to negotiate effectively achieving the best outcome for your portfolio while maintaining positive business relationships
  • Capable of leveraging data and analytics to make business more efficient and effective
  • Good understanding of the legal and regulatory framework
  • Ability to design, develop and implement consistent, robust wordings for contracts
  • Fluent English language skills
