Job Description

Atlas Copco is seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer to join our Operations Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Health and Safety

Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.

Process Improvement

Continuously review and improve manufacturing processes to optimize efficiency, productivity, and quality.

SOP Development and Management

Develop, implement, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and quality in our manufacturing processes.

CCA Participation

Collaborate with the Quality Engineering team to resolve complaints and improve process-related CCAs.

New Product Introduction

Lead the introduction of new products, ensuring timely and effective implementation, and validating requirements for jigs and fixtures.

NRFT Investigation

Support the Quality Department in investigating NRFT KPIs and implementing actions to reduce NRFT figures.

Inter-departmental Interface

Provide a primary process interface between manufacturing departments, Technical, and Sales teams.

Process Change Management

Ensure all process changes are captured and approved through the management of change system.

Requirements
  • Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience and qualifications.
  • 3-5 years' experience in an industrial manufacturing role.
  • Proven experience in lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and business improvement tools and techniques.
  • Working knowledge of FMEA, 8D, Ishikawa diagrams, 5-why, and SPC.
  • Hands-on Six Sigma experience and qualification is highly desirable.
  • Experience of working to stringent audited ISO quality standards.
  • Experience of transforming manual processes to automated and from batch to single piece flow.
