Job Title: Surgical Specialist Dietitian

We are seeking a highly skilled Surgical Specialist Dietitian to join our team at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will provide expert dietetic support to patients with lung, breast, and neurological cancers.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Deliver a high-quality dietetic service that aligns with the NHS Long Term Plan and NHS Cancer Programme.
  • Provide specialist dietetic counselling to patients and relatives, using post-registration Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and motivational skills.
  • Work collaboratively with the oncology and haematology teams to provide nutrition and dietetic management to patients.
  • Take the lead in providing expert dietetic input into agreed medical and surgical areas for both inpatients and outpatients.
Requirements:
  • Current HCPC registration.
  • Broad post-registration experience within Clinical Dietetics.
  • Sound clinical knowledge and current issues in dietetics/specialist area.
