Chemotherapy Clinical Nurse Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Chemotherapy Clinical Nurse to join our dynamic and proficient oncology team at The Montefiore Hospital in Hove.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage direct patient care and administer SACT safely
  • Work closely with other site-specific Clinical Nurse Specialists and the multi-professional team
  • Collaborate with professionals and agencies to ensure patient needs are met
  • Offer holistic needs assessments and provide care plans
  • Provide specialist advice and evidence-based care to cancer patients and their families
  • Promote respectful relationships and patient involvement in care decisions
  • Evaluate and assess patients' needs and treat, support, and refer as appropriate
Requirements:
  • Registered General Nurse with valid NMC registration
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in cancer services and SACT administration
  • Accredited SACT administration course and competency in the UKONS 24 Hour triage Tool
  • Post-registration course in cancer care and excellent communication, organisational, and IT skills
