About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to join National Grid plc as a Safety Leadership Manager. We are looking for an experienced professional to lead our safety team and drive continual improvement in safety compliance and performance.

The role involves developing and implementing health and safety management systems, leading high-profile safety projects and campaigns, and investigating incidents. You will also be responsible for updating and providing guidance on NGET's health and safety business processes.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working in high-risk environments, such as energy, construction or manufacturing, and in-depth knowledge of health and safety legislation. They will also possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate well with regulatory bodies and peer organisations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement health and safety management systems
  • Lead high-profile safety projects and campaigns
  • Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions
  • Update and provide guidance on NGET's health and safety business processes
Requirements:
  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent NVQ Level 6 qualification
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively
  • Experience of working in high-risk environments
  • In-depth knowledge of health and safety legislation
Salary and Benefits:

An estimated salary of £58,000 - £70,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including an annual performance bonus of up to 15% of eligible earnings, job requirement car, and generous contributory pension scheme.
