Head of UK Aerospace Operations

As a seasoned logistics professional, you will be responsible for driving the growth and development of our aerospace business across the UK and broader European market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for the aerospace logistics vertical in the UK, aligning with the company's global objectives and regional growth targets.
- Commercial Growth: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, develop key aerospace accounts across the UK and Europe, and cultivate strong relationships with aerospace clients.
- Operational Efficiency: Oversee the day-to-day operations, ensuring seamless logistics solutions tailored to the aerospace industry, and maintain high service standards.
- Market Intelligence: Stay up-to-date with trends, regulations, and technological advancements in the aerospace and logistics sectors, positioning the company as a thought leader and trusted partner.
- Financial Management: Oversee the financial performance of the aerospace vertical, managing costs while ensuring profitability and maintaining high service delivery standards.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
- At least 7-10 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or freight forwarding, with a proven track record in the aerospace sector. Previous leadership or management experience is required.
- Strong balance of commercial acumen and operational know-how.
- In-depth understanding of aerospace industry's logistics requirements, including international transportation, customs regulations, and specialized handling of aerospace materials and components.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, with capacity to think strategically and execute plans driving growth and innovation in aerospace logistics space.
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field is preferred.
- Fluency in English is required; additional European languages are a bonus.
