Join a Team of Professionals

We are currently seeking a skilled Site Engineer to assist the Engineer in managing the technical compliance of the project to the design specification. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, timely, and quality delivery of the project.

Due to the site being a high-security military naval base, additional security checks will be required. Successful candidates will hold a BPSS level of security clearance and meet specific nationality and residency requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation of 'as-built drawings' and establish effective systems to record work completed.
  • Manage systems to enable the progress of work to be reviewed against time, quality, dimensions, and quantity.
  • Record and test workmanship and materials, including drainage, concrete, piling, and brickwork.
  • Provide engineering support to overcome technical problems and answer technical queries.
  • Set out works constructed within allowable tolerances and regularly check setting out points and benchmarks.
  • Complete daily diaries and ensure the workforce understands setting out information.
  • Assist in the preparation of sketches for distribution on site and maintain clear communication channels.
  • Be aware of the provisions of the Kier Safety, Health, and Environmental Management System and assist in its implementation.
  • Provide and maintain setting out and dimensional control to ensure accurate construction of the work.
  • Record instructions and maintain a drawing register.
Requirements
  • Degree qualification in civil engineering or equivalent, desirable.
  • Experience in a similar role and familiar with Leica Survey equipment.
  • Awareness of commercial processes and quality management systems.
  • Proven people and project management skills, with the ability to lead a team.
  • TWS or TWC, First Aid at Work, and SSSTS desirable.
