About the Role

As a Practice Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care to patients in our busy general practice. You will work closely with doctors and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to our patients.

We are looking for an experienced Registered General Nurse (RGN) who is passionate about providing excellent patient care. The successful candidate will have strong communication skills, a keen interest in chronic diseases, and experience in phlebotomy, ECGs, BPs, immunisations, cytology, family planning, ear irrigation, wound care, and dressings.

The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, as part of a team, and have a flexible approach to working hours. We offer a competitive salary of £27,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits including pension scheme and professional development opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients, including routine tasks related to patient care, such as venepuncture, ECGs, and blood pressure monitoring.
  • Assist doctors with minor surgery, coil fittings, and other procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient information, adhering to confidentiality and data protection policies.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the effectiveness of the team and the overall performance of the practice.
  • Attend meetings and training sessions, as required, to maintain professional development and adherence to practice policies.

Requirements

  • Registered General Nurse (RGN) qualification.
  • Experience in general practice or a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexible approach to working hours.
