Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Equipment Engineer to provide technical support for production equipment in our Wafer Fab at the Caswell site. The successful candidate will work on day-to-day production equipment support, fault finding and repair, and associated systems maintenance.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide first-line response for all equipment issues on the Continental shift pattern.
  • Perform repairs and preventative maintenance (PMs) of specialist semiconductor processing equipment.
  • Oversee chemical, gases, and spare parts control, as well as chemical fills and waste management.
  • Liaise with equipment and spares suppliers, and specialist service providers.
  • Support activities to deliver preventative maintenance strategies and maximise equipment utilization, OEE, and up-time.
  • Participate in key improvement projects and ensure timely completion.
  • Complete QOS uptime reports, including fault pareto and action registers.
  • Represent the group at selected production, planning, and scrap meetings.
  • Adhere to all site safety and environmental procedures.
  • Support the site emergency response function.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • An Apprenticeship, HNC, HND or Degree in an electrical engineering discipline (or equivalent), and/or 5 years of directly related experience.

You will also possess:

  • Experience within a high-tech manufacturing environment.
  • Able to follow documented procedures without close supervision.
  • Ability to document procedures, especially generating new work instructions, risk assessments, and method statements.
  • Good time-management and organisational skills.
  • Computer literate with the ability to use Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience of working in a team and managing stakeholders.
Benefits

The successful candidate will receive a salary of £55,000-£65,000 per annum, plus a shift allowance, and will be eligible for a range of benefits, including training opportunities and career development.
