Job Purpose:

The Halfords Group offers credit facilities to various customers. Our Credit Control team aims to maximise cash collection to agreed terms, in conjunction with thorough credit checks, reviews, and reporting.

This role is part of a dynamic team of 12 people, and the department is constantly evolving. As such, the role's purpose may change over time, focusing on reporting and analysis rather than document processing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Allocate customer cash
  • Open new customer accounts
  • Raise invoices and credit notes
  • Handle customer queries via email and telephone
  • Reconcile debtor suspense account
  • Process Interco Journals

Key Skills:

  • Accuracy and speed when processing documentation
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Teamwork and willingness to support colleagues
  • Proficiency in Excel and Word
  • Ability to work to deadlines
