Job Opportunity: Family Law Solicitor or Legal Executive

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Family Law Solicitor or Legal Executive to join our team at Simpson Judge. As a key member of our Family Team, you will be responsible for developing confidence and experience in a broad caseload of family cases, with a bias towards private law children work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct a range of family law work, including children, finances, and cohabitation cases
  • Provide excellent client care skills, with a focus on time management and organisational skills
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team, with a strong emphasis on communication and teamwork
  • Develop advocacy skills, with the opportunity to conduct initial court appointments
  • Participate in business development opportunities, with a focus on growing the Family Team
  • Adhere to the Resolution Code of Conduct, with a commitment to upholding the highest standards of professionalism

Requirements:

  • A solid background in private family law work, with experience in children, finances, and cohabitation cases
  • Excellent client care skills, with a focus on time management and organisational skills
  • A team player, with strong communication and collaboration skills
  • An enthusiasm for advocacy, with the ability to develop skills in this area
  • A willingness to participate in business development opportunities, with a focus on growing the Family Team
  • A commitment to abide by the Resolution Code of Conduct

Desirable Qualifications:

  • The confidence to conduct some initial court appointments
  • Experience working in the Oldham/Saddleworth/Calder Valley/Manchester areas, with a strong network of contacts
  • Applications from men welcomed, to diversify the team
  • Self-sufficiency in typing, with the ability to work independently
  • Commercial awareness of billing and fee collection
