Job Description

We are working with an industry leading sensor company who are looking to onboard a Senior/Principal Software/Firmware Engineer to assist on some critical projects within the Automotive and Medical Devices sector.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Software-Firmware Engineer with Low Level & Bare Metal experience, familiar with ISO 9001:2015 (QMS), IEC 62304:2006 (Medical Devices) and/or ISO 26262:2018 (Vehicle Safety).

Responsibilities include:

  • Designing and developing compliant firmware code alongside existing architecture.
  • Implementing new sensing applications in collaboration with the Data Science team.
  • Firmware design, code reviews, testing, debugging, and documentation.
  • Bare metal and real-time firmware development in C for ARM-based microcontrollers or ASICs.

Requirements:

  • Experience with ADCs, DACs, and interfaces like SPI, I2C, and CAN.
  • Knowledge of STM32 and/or EFM32.
  • Proficiency in JTAG, Keil, IAR, STM32CubeMX, Eclipse, and gnu.
  • Automate3d testing for multiple targets.
  • Python programming experience.

This position offers a competitive salary up to £80,000 DOE and benefits including up to 10% bonus, 3% employer pension contribution, Bupa Cash Plan, Private Medical insurance, Group Life Insurance, and 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
