Special Needs Education Support Worker

Are you an experienced Learning Support Assistant looking to make a difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs?
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Good-rated special school in Hertfordshire. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with autism and other learning difficulties to achieve their full potential.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with children with SEN and be able to provide individualised support to meet their needs. You will work closely with teachers and other support staff to develop strategies to help pupils overcome barriers to learning and reach their academic and personal goals.

About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing one-to-one support to pupils with SEN, helping them to access the curriculum and participate fully in lessons. This may involve adapting teaching materials, providing physical support, or using assistive technology to facilitate learning. You will also contribute to the development of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and work with teachers to implement strategies to support pupil progress.

Our client school is a mixed special school catering for up to 60 students. In its last Ofsted inspection, the school was rated as Good. The school has excellent transport links and offers onsite parking for staff members.
