Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Discretionary Portfolio Manager & Branch Principal to join our team at MBF. This role involves managing client portfolios, developing new business, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards while leading a skilled team of investment management professionals.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Client Relationship Management
    • Building and maintaining strong client relationships, acting as their trusted investment advisor.
    • Developing comprehensive risk management and tax planning strategies.
  • Portfolio Management
    • Developing and executing tailored investment strategies across multi-asset portfolios.
    • Monitoring portfolio performance and making adjustments to optimise returns.
    • Conducting detailed financial research and analysis to identify opportunities.
    • Leveraging financial modelling for informed investment decisions.
  • Branch Leadership
    • Ensuring compliance with all the firm's policies, regulatory requirements, and risk-management standards.
    • Managing branch operations, audits, and client accounts.
    • Providing leadership, technical direction, and training to team members.
    • Staying abreast of market trends and regulatory changes, ensuring best practices.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field.
  • CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) or Certified Financial Planner qualification.
  • MBA or similar postgraduate degree (desirable).
