Trainee Mortgage Adviser Job Description

We are seeking a talented individual to join our team as a Trainee Mortgage Adviser in Chester, UK.

The salary for this role is £22,300 - £25,000 per year, plus a bonus.

The successful candidate will undergo comprehensive training to develop their expertise in mortgage advisory services.

You will work closely with our experienced team members to provide expert advice to customers and grow your skills and knowledge.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a strong analytical mindset, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

The role requires a high level of organisation, time management, and attention to detail, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities and Requirements:
  • Job Responsibilities:
    - Advising customers on mortgage products
    - Dealing with referrals from intermediaries and marketing activity leads
    - Completion of fact-finding exercises and property valuation research
    - Analysing credit searches and providing advice to clients
    - Ensuring compliance with internal regulations and external authorities
    - Maintaining a bespoke mortgage management system
    - Responding to client communications effectively and efficiently
    - General administration duties
  • Requirements:
    - Prior experience in the finance industry is advantageous
    - A level 2 A-levels or a degree with a classification of 2:2 or above are required
    - CeMAP qualification is essential or willingness to attain it
    - An analytical mindset, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail are crucial
    - Excellent communication and organisational skills are necessary
    - Ability to work individually and as part of a team, self-motivated, and flexible
    - Strong customer focus and commitment to delivering high-quality results
Benefits:

Working Hours:

37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, including two evening shifts (finishing at 7pm).
