About the Role

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team at Academics Ltd. As a Teaching Assistant, you will be working with pupils across Primary and Secondary education who have challenging behaviour and SEMH needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support pupils in the classroom to manage their own behaviour and engage with tasks set by the class teacher
  • Work on learning activities to promote confidence and encourage pupils to act independently
  • Develop and implement strategies to support pupils with SEMH needs
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure a comprehensive support plan for each pupil
Requirements
  • Qualified Teaching Assistant with experience of working with pupils with SEMH, autism, ADHD, or other disabilities and needs
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to hold student attention and focus
  • Experience of working with pupils whose behaviour can challenge
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
