About the Role:

We are recruiting for a Chemical Analysis Specialist to join our team at BAE Systems. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for conducting chemical analysis on a wide range of samples generated from submarines during design, build, and commissioning.

Responsibilities:
  1. Carry out routine and complex sampling and analysis tasks on-board submarine as appropriate
  2. Count primary coolant samples via gamma spectroscopy and tritium liquid scintillation in relation to environmental discharges
  3. Provide timely analytical service in support of Submarine Test and Commissioning
Requirements:
  • HNC, degree of equivalent qualification(s) relevant to the role
  • Industry experience
  • Nuclear chemistry course (desirable)

Estimated salary: £40,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
