Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach ESOL students from pre-entry level to Level 2, using a range of teaching and learning strategies to meet the diverse needs of our students.
  • Develop and deliver engaging and effective lessons, incorporating Functional Skills Entry level Maths and other relevant subjects.
  • Build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, ensuring effective communication and collaboration to support student progress.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress, using data to inform teaching and learning strategies and make adjustments as needed.
  • Contribute to the development of the ESOL curriculum, ensuring it is relevant, engaging, and meets the needs of our students.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and effective education provision, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress, using data to inform teaching and learning strategies and make adjustments as needed.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities, staying up-to-date with best practices in teaching and learning, and sharing knowledge and expertise with colleagues.

Requirements:

  • A recognized teaching qualification is essential.
  • A Degree in a related subject and Level 5 Teaching Qualification is desirable.
