About the Role

NHS Scotland is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Senior Healthcare Support Worker to join our team at Lindsay Ward, Biggart Hospital. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting the delivery of our rehabilitation-focused care services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care and support.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to deliver patient-centered care and promote rehabilitation potential.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge and skills through instruction, on-the-job learning, and attending teaching sessions.
  • Ensure awareness and compliance with policies and practices, including the Escort Policy, Prevention and Control of Infection, and Health and Safety.
Requirements
  • Experience in a healthcare setting is essential.
  • SVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care is required.
  • Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Working Arrangements

The successful candidate will work 34.1 hours per week, with the option to work 37.5 hours per week (pro rata for part-time staff) until the department can meet the requirements without impacting patient safety.
