About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Maternity Care Assistant to join our team at Yeovil Maternity. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide essential support to midwives and doctors in delivering high-quality care to women and their babies during birth and early parenthood.

Main Responsibilities
  • Support midwives and doctors in providing care to women and their babies
  • Assist with infant feeding and theatre support
  • Participate in specialist training and professional development
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to achieve excellent patient outcomes
Requirements
  • GCSE Maths and English or Functional Skills Maths and English, level 1 or equivalent
  • NVQ3 in Healthcare, or prepared to undertake a level 3 NVQ in Healthcare and complete within 1 year
  • Access to a means of travel to work
  • Basic life support training
