We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Maternity Care Assistant to join our team at Yeovil Maternity. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our patients during their most vulnerable times.
Main Responsibilities- Provide clinical support to midwives and doctors in the maternity theatre, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.
- Support mothers with infant feeding, providing specialist training and guidance to promote successful breastfeeding.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care, responding to individual needs and preferences.
- Participate in ongoing professional development, including training in infant feeding, to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
- GCSE Maths and English or Functional Skills Maths and English, level 1 or equivalent
- NVQ3 in Healthcare, OR, prepared to undertake a level 3 NVQ in Healthcare and complete within 1 year (to achieve KSF Foundation Gateway)
- Access to a means of travel to work
- Basic life support training
