About the Opportunity

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to work across SEN units in primary schools in Portsmouth, supporting children with additional needs.

Job Description:
  • Provide 1:1 and group support for children with SEN, helping them access the curriculum and achieve their goals.
  • Assist in implementing tailored learning and behaviour plans for pupils with a range of needs.
  • Support pupils' emotional and social development, encouraging independence and confidence.
  • Adapt to new settings quickly, bringing energy and a proactive approach to each school you work in.

Requirements:
  • Experience in SEN: Previous experience supporting children with SEN, particularly in autism and other complex needs.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Confidence in working closely with staff, pupils, and parents to ensure cohesive support.
  • Variety: Work across multiple SEN units in Portsmouth, gaining diverse experiences in primary school settings.
  • Competitive Pay: £80-100 per day, based on experience and responsibilities.
