About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-focused individual to join our team as a Health Records Assistant. In this role, you will be responsible for locating and retrieving patient health records, maintaining the health records library, and performing general administrative tasks.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to work independently with minimal supervision. You will also possess high-level computer skills and be proficient in using office software.

In terms of salary, we offer a competitive package of £23,615 per annum, which is pro rata based on the number of hours worked. Our organization operates from three main hospitals in the region, providing a range of services including emergency care, diagnostics, and planned surgery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Locate and retrieve patient health records as required by healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain the health records library in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Perform general administrative tasks, including data entry and updating confidential information.

Requirements

  • Evidence of working in an NHS environment.
  • Good understanding of GDPR 2018 and its implications for data protection.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work unsupervised with minimal guidance.
  • High-level computer skills and proficiency in using office software.
