About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Service Engineer to join our Surgical Workplaces service team in West England. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our medical equipment in hospitals and facilities throughout the UK and Ireland.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out routine testing and servicing of Getinge equipment to the relevant standards
  • Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults on equipment
  • Calibrate equipment as necessary and report any faulty or out-of-calibration equipment to the Line Manager
  • Maintain and monitor adequate stock levels of spare parts to ensure timely response to customer calls
  • Produce high-quality service documentation for submission to customers
  • Communicate effectively with the internal Service Department, Technical Department, and Service Managers
  • Follow correct returns and non-conformance report procedures at all times
  • Organize and prioritize a continuously changing workload to ensure all customer calls and enquiries are responded to quickly and effectively
  • Participate in out-of-hours standby cover on a rota basis to accommodate customer needs
  • Provide accurate and timely written/electronic reports as required/requested
  • Identify and provide sales leads to relevant Service/Sales Managers
  • Adhere to Quality System duties and responsibilities at all times
  • Comply with company and on-site Health & Safety requirements at all times
About You

We are looking for a passionate individual with a strong work ethic and excellent organizational skills. You will have a recognized qualification in Electrical, Electronic, or Mechanical Engineering and experience of field-based work. You will also have IT skills, including Microsoft Office, and experience of using CRM systems such as GForce.
