Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Electrician to join our team as a Low Voltage Electrical Technician. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the installation teams with planned and reactive fault diagnoses, basic commissioning, panel modification, and technical queries at site level.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the installation teams with planned and reactive fault diagnoses
- Perform basic commissioning and panel modification
- Provide technical support and guidance to colleagues
- Communicate effectively with various departments within the business and liaise with customers
- Assist with and carry out all types of Low Voltage electrical work
- Reasonable understanding of mechanical systems
- NICEIC Testing
- Fault finding/diagnostics without drawings and support
- Panel / Circuit modifications without drawings and support
- Commissioning of various equipment relevant to the water industry
- Work with Systems Integrator with commissioning and modifications
- Navigate HMI/SCADA systems
- Prepare RAMS, ensuring safe working conditions
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- A Gold ECS card (preferred)
- A CCNSG Safety Passport
- A Fitness to work medical
- Knowledge of health & safety legislation and company procedures
- Willingness to learn and undertake occupational and Health and Safety training
- Prepared to take responsibility for self and others
- Able to work on own initiative and ability to give and take instruction
- Completion of appropriate electrical qualification
Desirable
The following qualifications and experience would be advantageous:
- EUSR
- Knowledge of:
- Ethernet & industrial networks (ie Profibus, devicenet, etc)
VSD, soft start, star/delta, DOL starters
PLC & HMI/SCADA (programming not required)
