About the Role

We are seeking a skilled ATEX Inspector to join our team at Bridges Electrical Engineers. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting hazardous area inspections and ensuring compliance with BS7671 and Bridges Electrical Safety Rules and Essential Standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out electrical installations in accordance with BS7671 and Bridges Electrical Safety Rules and Essential Standards
  • Ensure adherence to Health and Safety legislation and regulations
  • Install items to the highest standards, in compliance with the project's quality plan and inspection and test plans
  • Follow and promote the STAR dynamic risk assessment and stop work if unsafe circumstances arise
  • Coach and mentor Electrical Improvers and Apprentices
  • Promote Bridges' values and positive health and wellbeing amongst peers
  • Act professionally and be an ambassador for Bridges, supporting business goals and maintaining the company's reputation

Requirements

  • ECS card / JIB Gold card
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (essential)
  • CompEx EX01-04
  • Experience within water, construction, or industrial industries
  • Good client engagement and communication skills
  • Able to manage own and others workload with minimal assistance from Project Managers in delivering safe profitable projects
  • CCNSG (or similar)
  • Fitness to work medical
  • Emergency first aid or First Aider
  • Full UK driving licence
