About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Data Protection Manager to lead our commitment to privacy and security.

The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of data protection legislation and provide technical support and advice to the wider legal team and businesses.

This role involves collaborating with the I.T department on completion of privacy assessments, proactively highlighting areas for improvement in technology and tools, and cooperating with internal stakeholders and/or the Information Commissioner's Office on data protection investigations/breaches.

You will also research and stay up-to-date with the latest legislative activities, assess their impact, and provide recommendations. Additionally, you will support the business and GDPR Champions in developing clear processes for data protection compliance, promoting awareness of privacy standards across the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support and guidance on data protection legislation and data processing.
  • Collaborate with the I.T department to complete privacy assessments and identify areas for improvement in technology and tools.

Requirements

  • Excellent technical knowledge in tools and systems.
  • Organized with excellent multi-tasking skills.
  • Attention to detail with analytical mindset.
  • Excellent written English and communication skills.
