Senior Litigation Solicitor

Company Overview: Our client is a well-established law firm based in Datchet, offering a range of legal services to individuals and businesses. As part of our expanding team, you will have the opportunity to work on complex civil litigation cases and develop your skills and expertise in this field.

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Civil Litigator to join our team. The ideal candidate should have strong post-qualification experience in civil litigation and be able to handle all aspects of their cases from the pre-action stage up to and including appeals.

Key Responsibilities:
• Managing a civil litigation caseload from inception to conclusion.
• Reviewing and creating initial case plans by assessing client instructions and carrying out a review of available documentation at the outset of a case to determine suitable strategies to adopt;
• Providing support and guidance to fee earners and legal assistants within the team;
• Liaising with clients in order to advise on case prospects and take proofs of evidence to be used in the case;
• Preparation of documents to include correspondence, pleadings and witness statements;
• Attending court hearings both in person and by telephone;
• Attending case conferences with external counsel, where required;
• Dealing with correspondence and telephone calls;

Requirements:
• Strong post-qualification experience in civil litigation.
• Ability to handle complex cases from inception to conclusion.
• Proven track record of managing a high-volume caseload.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Estimated Salary: £70,000 - £90,000 per year.
