Job Title: Finance Director

Join Hallidays HR Limited as a Finance Director and contribute to the overall strategic direction and leadership of the group. As a key member of the executive team, you will provide clear and progressive leadership to the finance team to deliver the group's financial management and reporting requirements efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with overall business objectives.
  • Financial planning, forecasting, benchmarking, and analysis with regular reporting to the CEO.
  • Budgeting, modelling, and developing business-appropriate financial plans.
  • Ensuring compliance with statutory and fiduciary duties.
  • Building strong relationships with key stakeholders, including the board, executive team, and external auditors.
  • Driving process improvement and efficiency within the finance function and a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Developing a Finance Business Partnering approach, ensuring the provision of appropriate financial information and support to the executive and management teams.
  • Providing strategic financial advice to the executive team on acquisitions and other business development initiatives.
  • Involvement in wider operational projects and innovations.
Requirements:
  • CIMA, ACA, or ACCA qualified accountant.
  • Previous experience working at a senior level within a commercial sector.
  • Experience of working in the public sector/working with local authority would be desirable, but not essential.
  • Proven experience in successful financial modelling, forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Experience of implementing change and new systems, processes, and procedures.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate financial information in a way that non-financial people can understand.
  • Ability to influence and build strong relationships at all levels.
  • Strong IT skills and proficient with Finance Systems including Sage.
